There are two study programs at the Technical Department:

  • Bachelor’s degree program in Production Mechanical Engineering and

Today, the Technical department is a part of the University of Slavonski Brod, which began its work on the day of registration in the Court Register, August 3, 2020, and was created by merging the College of Slavonski Brod, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Slavonski Brod, the Dislocated Studies of Educational Sciences of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek and the Student Center in Slavonski Brod.
So far, 456 students have completed the undergraduate Study of production engineering at the Technical department, and 61 students have completed the specialized studies of Energy.

Our students complete professional internships in companies from the economy, with which we maintain long-term cooperation. As a result, each year a certain number of students remain employed in the companies where they completed their professional internships. The good cooperation with the business community is also reflected in the continuous implementation of part-time courses, to which companies send their employees for additional training.
Students who complete the undergraduate specialized studies in Manufacturing engineering and especially the specialized studies in Energy find employment in the profession very quickly, as they can be employed in various positions in manufacturing companies in the metalworking industry and beyond.

The recognizability of our degree programs is evidenced by the fact that a large number of students come from other districts and different types of schools (technical schools, high schools, business schools).

The study programs are regularly adapted to the needs of the business community. For example, we have established elective courses in robotics for our students.
In addition to full-time study at the Technical department, lifelong learning programs are also implemented. For example, since 2009, when the College of Slavonski Brod became the first institution in Croatia to be accredited by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Spatial Planning and Construction. Training courses have been offered for professional training and mandatory training for persons performing energy audits and/or energy certifications of buildings. the implementation of the aforementioned program.

Students of the Technical department can apply for ERASMUS+ competitions within the University of Slavonski Brod, gaining experience at universities abroad. In addition, there is inbound mobility of students of the Technical department from other countries, which also enables the exchange of experience.
